Because they are often referred to as a ‘model minority,’ many Asian Pacific Islander Desi Americans (APIDA) feel unnoticed or invisible. Come join us as we dive into a deep examination on the census and how it will impact communities of color in 2020. Census 2020 will be critical to ensuring that APIDA communities across the country are accurately counted so they have access to their fair share of government resources (education, transportation, health care, affordable housing, etc), political representation in Congress, and long-term opportunities for themselves and their families. This event is free and open to the public. There will be light refreshments available!
