The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities is an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI).
The Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Scholarship provides financial support for undergraduate students who identify as Asian American or Pacific Islander attending the U of M-Twin Cities. (Only UMN students can apply!)
The AANAPISI Scholarship online application opens on September 7, 2022, and closes on January 19th, 2023 at 4:00 PM Central Time. Scholarship awards range from a one-time semester $2,500 award or up to $5,000 spread across two semesters ($2,500 per semester). Multiple students will be awarded based on funding availability. Scholarship funds will be disbursed late summer 2023 for the 2023-2024 academic year. Applications are closed, check back for 2024-2025 academic year soon!
AANAPISI SCHOLARSHIP MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census.
- Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States. Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau are also eligible to apply.
- Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in a degree-seeking program during the 2023 Fall semester at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
- Have applied for the 2023-2024 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Applicants do not necessarily need to have received federal financial aid to be eligible for a scholarship from APIA Scholars. Go to fafsa.gov for more information.
