The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities is an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI).
The Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Scholarship provides financial support for current and in-coming undergraduate students attending the U of M-Twin Cities.
The AANAPISI and APIA Scholarship is a partnership with the Asian Pacific American Resource Center at UMN and APIA Scholars. Scholarships are funded and administered by APIA Scholars. For more information, please visit apiascholars.org.
The AANAPISI / APIA Scholarship online application is available November 15, 2024 and closes January 15, 2025. Scholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year awards of up to $20,000. Multiple students will be awarded based on funding availability. Scholarship funds will be disbursed summer of 2025 for the 2025-2026 academic year.
AANAPISI / APIA SCHOLARSHIP MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- Be able to describe your ethnicity, heritage, or ancestry in relation to the countries, territories, or lands in Asia or the Pacific Islands
- Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States. Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau are also eligible to apply.
- Be enrolled as a part-time or full-time undergraduate student in a degree-seeking program during the 2025 Fall semester at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
- Have applied for the 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Applicants do not necessarily need to have received federal financial aid to be eligible for a scholarship from APIA Scholars. Go to fafsa.gov for more information.
