Podcast Episodes

Dinner Talks with Diana: Racialized Experiences of AAPI Educators features guests who share their stories around what it means to be an Asian American Pacific Islander educator, how they have navigated teaching, why educator representation is important, and more. The podcast aims to amplify the voices of those who are fostering the young minds of the future. Our stories matter, our stories are valid.

This first episode, Diana chats with 2 Minnesota-based educators: Ali Alowonle, who aims to cultivate a love for learning and love for self and humanity, and Gaoly Her, who has a passion for teaching students math versus teaching math to students. Ali and Gaoly share their experiences on their trauma and not feeling like they belonged in education and what they're doing to change that for their BIPOC students.
