Program Coordinator

Grounded in community, Peter strives to empower students and help them become transformative leaders. Peter serves as Associate Director for the Asian Pacific American Resource Center at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, where he leads the ASPIRE Peer Mentorship Program and mulitple AANAPISI initiatives. He strives to cultivate supportive environments for AAPI students to reflect upon their cultural roots and find their voices.

Before coming to the UMN, Peter served as the Coordinator for Social Justice Education at Indiana University Purdue University - Indianapolis, where he helped students to reflect upon their intersectional identities, find their sources of empowerment, and raise their voices to advocate for themselves. Peter received his education at Northwestern University in Biological Sciences and Asian American Studies. He then received his graduate degree at Loyola University Chicago. During this time, Peter also interned at Asian Americans Advancing Justice Chicago where he worked on leadership programming and civic engagement. Outside of work, Peter enjoys binging anime, YouTube tutorials (I'm currently teaching myself photography and photoediting!), playing Pokemon Go and Destiny 2, excessively drinking Boba tea, and more!
