Haruka Yukioka | they/them

Student Ambassador

Haruka (they/them/theirs) is a fifth year student studying Instrumental Music Education with minors in Asian American Studies and Racial Justice in Urban Schools. They identify as a queer + disabled nisei (second generation) Japanese-American, and bring those identities with them into their work. Haruka currently serves as the External Vice-President for the Asian American Student Union (@asu.minnesota), and works as a sex educator with the Rothenberger Institute through CEHD. In their free time, they like to play animal crossing and cook Japanese food. They emphasize inclusivity and accessibility in their work, and look forward to continuing to cultivate a safe and accepting space at APARC!
