Graduate Assistant

Ariana Yang serves as a Graduate Assistant at APARC. She is a PhD Candidate in Culture and Teaching in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction. She received her BA in Global Studies with a minor in Asian American Studies from the University of Minnesota. She also serves as a Writing Consultant with the Center for Writing's Student Writing Support. Her research interests include examining Hmong American and Southeast Asian American experiences and subjectivities in education, Asian American racialization, and social justice education. She is deeply committed to supporting AAPI students and helping them find community at the University of Minnesota. Although she is not the most outdoorsy person, she really enjoys being in nature, canoeing, and swimming. She also loves listening to BTS, reading, cooking, and traveling.
